These delicious, crispy roasted turnips with a rich butter sauce are going to be your new favorite side dish.
Ingredients
- 4 cups evenly chopped turnips
- 1-1/2 Tablespoons oil- avocado, olive, or canola
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 Tablespoon melted butter
- 1 Tablespoon fresh chives, minced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees
- Toss chopped turnips in oil, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl
- Spread coated turnips out on a large rimmed baking sheet
- Roast for 25-30 minutes, turning over halfway to ensure an even roast
- Mix melted butter and chives together in a small bowl
- Transfer roasted turnips to serving plate and drizzle with chive butter, and sprinkle with additional salt, as needed
